Panic! At the Disco background
The American band Panic! at the Disco was formed in 2004 and, ever since, the group has gone through various changes with band members coming and going. In 2015, Spencer Smtih left the band and Dallon Weekes is now just a touring member, which leaves Brendon Urie has the only official Panic! At the Disco band member.
Panic! At the Disco burst onto the scene in 2005 with the release of their debut album A Fever You Can't Sweat Out. This emo-fuelled debut album went Platinum thanks to songs like "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" and "But It's Better If You Do". The band's second album Pretty. Odd. (2008) marked a significant departure from the band's sound, leading to disagreements between band members. Further Panic! At the Disco albums include Vices & Virtues (2011), Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die! (2013) and Death of a Bachelor (2016).
The new Panic! At the Disco album Pray for the Wicked (2018), is already making waves thanks to hits like "Say Amen (Saturday Night)", and "High Hopes". This music is dizzying, stadium pop at its very best and fans are desperate to get hold of tickets to see Panic! At the Disco. After a highly-praised stint on Broadway in Kinky Boots, Urie wasn't in any rush to make new music, however, as he says himself 'I was so revved up that I asked some friends to come over to my home studio to help me write about all the incredible things I've experienced the last couple of years. Pray For The Wicked is my thank you to our fans and the most fun I've ever had making an album'.
